The GV60 is
Genesis's first vehicle built from the ground up to be an EV. Our $70k+
Performance trim test car was striking Atacama Copper over Ash Gray
Glacier White leather interior.
The biggest change for the GV60’s
second model year is the addition of a rear-wheel drive base model. In
Standard trim, the GV60 has a stated range of just under 300 miles. The
mid-level Advance model adds 16 miles of range.
The GV60
Performance gets no major changes for 2024. The GV60 is one of three
fully electric Genesis models, but it’s the only one that wasn’t
originally engineered as an internal combustion vehicle. We think that
difference shows up in the GV60’s deft handling, silky power delivery,
and effective interior packaging.
Hits:
- Genuinely distinctive and luxurious interior immersed in rich materials stands apart from other EVs.
- With 483 horsepower and 518 lb-ft of torque, the GV60 Performance turned 3.7-second 0-60 times in Car & Driver testing.
- Fast-charging, 800-volt architecture provides a 10-80 percent battery boost in under 20 minutes.
Misses:
- Performance trim’s peak range is about 235 miles at best.
- Its unique styling provides less room than its Hyundai and Kia platform mates.
- It's too easy to make a scene spinning tires whose grip doesn’t quite match GV60’s power
